Installation Steps and Standard Operation Specifications of Socket Pipe Repair Clamp

The first step of installation is pipeline pretreatment and fault inspection.Operators need to clean the outer wall of the damaged socket pipe section,remove surface dirt,rust,sediment and residual attachments,ensuring the pipe wall is smooth and dry.At the same time,check the damage degree of the pipeline,confirm the crack length,leakage position and socket gap size,and select the repair clamp of matching specification according to the pipe diameter and fault type.It is forbidden to use mismatched models for forced installation,so as to avoid incomplete sealing and structural instability.
The second step is clamp assembly and positioning.Open the split structure of the socket pipe repair clamp,check the integrity of the internal rubber sealing ring,and confirm that there is no damage,aging or dislocation of the sealing component.Sleeves the clamp on the damaged pipe socket position,adjust the position to make the sealing area completely cover the pipeline fault leakage point,and ensure the clamp is centered and fits closely with the pipe wall without deviation or inclination.For pipelines with slight displacement,fine adjustment is required to ensure uniform contact between the sealing ring and the pipe wall.
The third step is graded fastening and stress balance adjustment.After preliminary positioning of the clamp,install the fastening bolts and perform symmetrical graded tightening.It is forbidden to tighten a single bolt at one time,which will cause uneven stress on the clamp shell,resulting in local gap and leakage.Gradually increase the torque in three to four times,ensure uniform compression of the rubber sealing ring,and make the sealing material fully fill the pipeline fault gap.After fastening,check the clamp fitting state again to eliminate hidden dangers of loose parts.
The fourth step is pressure test and acceptance.After the installation is completed,conduct pipeline pressure holding test according to the pipeline working pressure standard.Keep the rated pressure for a certain time,observe whether there is micro-leakage at the clamp joint and sealing position.If no leakage and no pressure drop occur,the repair is qualified.During the whole operation process,construction personnel need to abide by safety operation specifications,avoid excessive torque damage to pipeline structure,and standardize operation to ensure the stability and durability of repair quality.
