Quality Inspection Standards and Performance Test Methods for Socket Pipe Repair Clamp

As a pressure-bearing sealing component related to pipeline operation safety,socket pipe repair clamp must pass strict quality inspection and performance tests before leaving the factory and being put into use.Standardized inspection and test methods can effectively screen unqualified products,ensure that all performance indicators meet engineering application standards,and provide reliable quality guarantee for pipeline repair engineering.

The appearance and dimensional inspection is the basic inspection item of socket pipe repair clamp.Inspect the surface of the metal shell for cracks,trachoma,deformation and burrs,check the sealing rubber ring for damage,bubbles and aging defects.At the same time,detect the inner diameter,outer diameter,bolt hole spacing and structural size of the clamp to ensure that the dimensional tolerance meets industry standards and matches the standard pipeline specifications,avoiding installation failure caused by dimensional deviation.

Pressure resistance test is the core performance test indicator.Conduct static pressure bearing test on the repair clamp according to different pressure grade standards.Keep the test pressure for a specified time,observe whether the clamp has deformation,leakage and structural damage.Conventional municipal grade products need to withstand 1.6MPa pressure test,and industrial high-pressure grade products need to pass 2.5MPa and above ultra-high pressure test to verify their ultimate pressure-bearing capacity.

Sealing performance test simulates actual pipeline operating conditions,carrying out medium sealing test under rated pressure and variable temperature environment.Detect the sealing stability of the clamp under long-term pressure holding,temperature cycle and vibration conditions,verify whether there is micro-leakage in the sealing part,and evaluate the adaptability of the product to complex working conditions.Aging test is carried out through accelerated aging equipment to simulate long-term environmental erosion,detect the performance attenuation degree of sealing materials and metal structures,and evaluate product service life.

Corrosion resistance test is essential for industrial and coastal engineering products.Through salt spray test and chemical medium immersion test,detect the anti-corrosion performance of the clamp shell and sealing materials,verify the product's tolerance to humid,saline and corrosive environments.Only products that pass all inspection and test items can be applied to pipeline maintenance engineering,ensuring the safety and durability of pipeline repair projects.
