Straight Pipe Repair Clamp
Product Overview
A Straight Pipe Repair Clamp is designed for repairing damaged areas on straight, uniform-diameter pipe sections. It provides external support and sealing around localized defects without requiring removal of the entire damaged pipe section.
The clamp assembly typically consists of a metal clamp body, sealing gasket, bolts, and nuts. Its cylindrical internal profile is designed to follow the outside diameter of the pipe and provide coverage around the damaged section.
Structure and Sealing
The clamp body surrounds the straight pipe section, while the sealing gasket is positioned between the clamp and the pipe surface.
When the fastening bolts are tightened, the clamp compresses the gasket against the pipe to form a mechanical sealing interface. The clamp length can be selected according to the size and location of the damaged area.
Compared with specialized clamps for elbows, tees, saddles, or reducers, the Straight Pipe Repair Clamp is intended for relatively uniform pipe sections without changes in pipe direction or diameter.
