Pipe Repair Clamp Installation Steps and Operation Precautions

Standardized installation operation is the premise to guarantee the using effect of pipe repair clamp.Before installation,operators need to clean the pipe outer wall,remove rust,dirt and burrs at the leakage position.The damaged area shall be checked to confirm that the defect size is within the applicable range of the repair clamp.

Align the split clamp body at the leakage point,place the sealing gasket between shell and pipe surface,then tighten the bolts evenly in sequence.Avoid one side over tightening which may lead to gasket offset and sealing failure.After tightening,visual inspection and pressure test can be carried out to verify the leak stoppage result.

Some precautions should be noted during operation.Do not use repair clamps for pipes with large deformation or serious structural damage.In high pressure pipeline system,regular inspection of clamp tightness is required after repair.Mastering correct operation rules helps reduce construction risk and improve repair success rate.
