Reducer Repair Clamp
Product Overview
A Reducer Repair Clamp is designed for localized repair at reduced or stepped pipeline sections. It can be used to address leaks, cracks, corrosion, and other localized defects around connections between pipes of different outside diameters.
The clamp assembly typically consists of a specially shaped metal clamp body, sealing gasket, bolts, and nuts. Its stepped or tapered configuration allows the repair assembly to accommodate the transition between the larger and smaller pipe sections.
Structure and Sealing
Unlike a standard pipe repair clamp designed for a uniform pipe diameter, a Reducer Repair Clamp incorporates different internal profiles to match the two connected pipe sizes.
The sealing gasket is positioned between the clamp and pipe surface and follows the transition area between the different diameters. When the fastening bolts are tightened, the clamp compresses the gasket against the pipe to create a mechanical sealing interface.
The clamp dimensions can be configured according to the large pipe diameter, small pipe diameter, transition length, and damaged area.

Applications
Reducer Repair Clamp can be used for:
Reduced pipe section leak repair
Different-diameter pipe connection repair
Transition section sealing
Pipeline crack repair
Localized corrosion repair
Water supply pipelines
Industrial piping systems
Municipal and utility pipelines
When selecting a Reducer Repair Clamp, the large and small pipe outside diameters, transition geometry, pipe material, operating pressure, temperature, damaged section, and available installation space should be considered to determine the appropriate clamp and gasket configuration.
